Press Release: Doing Well by Doing Good

For immediate release:

Doing well by doing good: Drinkwater’s—a recently launched, price upscale men’s clothing store in Porter Square held its first event: a clothing drive to benefit the Shattuck Shelter. “Rather than having a self-important launch party—said the owner, viagra Gary Drinkwater—we chose to hold a clothing drive as the store’s first social event. Owning my own business has always been a dream of mine and I realize how lucky I am to have had the support of family and friends to be able to achieve it. In my own small way, store I feel as though I am contributing to someone else’s reaching their dreams.”

The Shattuck Shelter is committed to fighting the growth of homelessness and to building opportunities for poor and homeless men, women and families. An important part of their program is the job training / career development for the guests at the shelter. Drinkwater’s customers came out in full support donating gently worn work clothing that would provide an initial professional wardrobe for interviewing and new jobs. As extra incentive, for every donation received, Drinkwater’s offered a discount on purchases of the very popular brand Bills Khakis.

Local business, Cambridge Offset Printing also donated to the event, as did Bills Khakis by donating dozens of new pants.
